I have been using the app for about 5 months now. This app is so far the best one out there. I have tried Skeema,Tabmanager.io,Session Buddy,Note GPT Manager etc. This app has so many more useful features. (synching, icons, nested folders, drag&drop etc.). However, there are some features and functions that are missing that would make this a 5-star app. Here are the features and functions that are needed/missing: Each open window does not show by itself in the app. I have 6 open windows with many tabs, and NONE of the windows or tabs show in the Raindrop app anywhere (except in the "all bookmarks" list, but not sub-sorted into each window where the bookmarks/tabs are located. There should be a "sort" by "open windows option). None of my open windows show up in the app, all of the open windows show up in the other apps I have used, but not in this app. How do I save tabs from each separate open window into a new collection/folder? How do you add tabs (or groups of tabs) from current open session windows to a collection or a nested/sub-folder? How to save the tabs in a current open window (session), to a "collection", if they are not even visible because the open window is not showing anywhere in the app? Why does the app not have a menu column/list for separate "open browser windows"? (see Tabmanager.io) There should be a way to show all of the content of open session windows along with all the content of saved session windows in the main "list view" screen. (needs a "session history" menu), so new current session tabs and groups can be dragged and dropped into previous saved session windows collections. Active session browser windows are not offered to merge with a saved session window in the left menu box (to update the folder/window), for example, move all my saved YouTube tabs into a saved window of choice. Being able to merge current windows into a prior collection project window would be a great feature. (this is possible in Tabmanager.io app). I do not see a "merging function" option in the app. Also, there no "save tab groups " option that even shows up in the app. I also do not see any way to add individual " tab groups" to any collections/groups/nested folders. There should be a way to save "tabbed groups" to a "nested folder" in a collection? I think this is a critical missing feature. also, it would be great if you could add a function to add "tab groups" to the "add tabs list" to the pop-up box menu. I think that would solve the issue. I would think the app would have this function integrated by now. There is no way to save a range or group of "highlighted selected tabs", ("shift + click" or "crtl + shift" a group of tabs next to each other) (ie. save (3 tabs), without saving all (17) of the tabs in the address bar.) The app wants to save every tab in the bar. Right now, I can only save each tab one at a time in a collection. There needs to be more options on saving tabs in the tutorial. (Developer reply: Unfortunately, highlighted tabs list is not detected yet. Will be improved in future updates. 7/19/2024). What is the difference between the clipper and mini app? I do not see any way to change the color of the group names (or collection font colors or sizes), so they stand out. Right now, they are only a "dull" gray color, very hard to see it. Also, customer tech support could be improved, sometimes there is no response. In conclusion, if features of this app and the features of Tabmanager.io were combined, the app would be PERFECT. I am going to purchase the "Pro" version, hoping that these missing functions will be implemented soon. All around a superb app.............A++++++

great extension thank you

Abdelrahman D

good extension, the "Raindrop extension installed " text field needs a border, first time users like myself need to be able to see it in order to know that it is modifiable,

Suman Chakraborty

It is very good app

Works not bad on Chrome but keeps crashing / not showing images on all my android devices. Going back to Pocket

The idea of making bookmarks as cards is a wonderful thing, I needed it so badly...You are great!!! but I could hardly reach you. Everyone should know this program...

Using it for 2-3 years. Overall quite satisfying product experience. One thing I noticed was that recently it seems the app changed the hot key for opening the raindrop web app to "control + A" on Mac. It conflicts with an OS default cursor control key so would recommend the development team to revert it into something else.

Sorry, what happened to the highlighting feature? Was the update necessary?? I can't use it because it continue disappearing every time, and there is no color that let you see the text. I much prefer the previous version.

Joyful Star

i keep having to resign into my account after a little while on chrome and it does not keep my theme settings

I love rainrdop but please can you add an option to revert to the previous highlighting mark? it was perfect and transparent. the latest one make the text unreadable with chrome auto dark mode and dark reader are enabled at the same time, which I can't compromise.. I know that one review probably won't change anything but please could you do that?, highlighting is a huge part of why I use raindrop and it completely ruins the readability now.. please.

Love this bookmarking too. If I was back in school the highlighting features would have been awesome.

bololo lolo

The years go by and the icon on the chrome extension still looks awful in dark mode, with white pixels around the "cloud".

Best bookmark manager so far - simple, intuitive and a permanent copy is saved so no more lost bookmarks that was kept for referencing - its a shame videos from Youtube can't be saved permanently, but maybe that's a more premium service for the future

I used to avoid bookmark managers thinking they would be more cumbersome to use. This extension is actually pretty easy to use, and has been a lifesaver, since I use it across my several otherwise incompatible devices, including browsers in Linux. It was simple to export my bookmarks from my iPad's Safari. Normally on an iPad, it's impossible to export Safari bookmarks. Raindrop can get them imported, though. I pin it to my toolbar and it's actually easier to tap the extension than it is to create a bookmark the usual iPad/iPhone Safari way, and just as simple, using the same method, using other browsers on a PC/Mac. You can have a sidebar showing if you want. I subscribed to Premium which has a lot of useful features; the first reason I wanted it was to be able to search the actual content of bookmarked pages and not just the titles and descriptions or notes of the bookmarks themselves. I always wished someone had invented that! The free version is great too, though. One of my favorite features is being able to highlight something on a page I bookmark. I can revisit that bookmark some other time in the future and see exactly what I highlighted. This is amazingly useful if I'm sorting through forum posts about an issue I have (say, a Linux technical difficulty), and want to get straight to the answer. Great job on this extension (and app)!

Great extension in general, but the thumbnails stopped working.

mohit

Perfect extension to curate links, have been using it for 1 year

Nizarudin Tech

Seamless experience so far, managing bookmarks across my devices. Would be better if the extension icon works as indicator whether the page is already bookmarked or not, by changing the grayscale of the icon. Also I hope you guys do have a plan for the app to be shown when creating a new tab.

I compare Firefox pocket vs raindodrop . This is best and giving lot of options to store data.

Daniel Eberini

Please change the clunky images and pages savings. Why does it have to open a whole window to just save an image or a page? Other bookmarking extensions let you save images in one click with a button when you hover the image, doesn't even need to double click. Can this be fixed in the next update please?

HARI KRISHNA

best app better than lot of apps in the market. have used pocket but this look way more cooler and organizeed app. I would say pocket is also good but more fancy. this is simple and neat and serves the requirment for the best

Thomas Leon Highbaugh

By far the best means of this available in Chrome or Firefox (I mostly use Firefox but something work better in Chrome, so I keep both handy). Developer doesn't lock things away behind the paywall I want or need, which is why I am using it vs. other options. Its handy, it exports to html/csv for backing up and it manages the 5k bookmarks I have acquired via tab stashing, with some features helping me sort through and organize that mess.

I had a subscription but cancelled it because: 1. The function to find duplicate links is irrelevant now, and it's a pro feature. You just can't have duplicate links anymore. I tried saving one link to several folders, but it just wouldn't let me (something I actually wanted to do). 2. Even after removing a duplicate link, it still shows as a duplicate, even though I only have one copy. 3. The permanent copy feature never worked. I had several webpages from Pinterest, and NONE got saved despite showing "permanent copy saved".

Gabriel Atkinson

Love this app. Moved from Pocket and have not looked back. Have hundreds of sites saved and organized. The ability to use folders, add tags, and notes is amazing. Also love the ability to share collections.

Ryan Dunn

Try it. Bookmarks changed forever. Destroys pocket. Love it

i used raindrop for a few weeks and generally liked it, but ultimately stopped using it because new bookmarks being added to the top, with no option to add them to the bottom instead (without disabling manual sorting, which i need) became a dealbreaker. new on bottom is how my imported bookmarks collection worked before raindrop, and switching would be a huge undertaking. the drag and drop reordering functionality in raindrop is pretty bare bones, and when i have a category with tons of bookmarks it takes a long time to drag and drop bookmarks (one at a time only) from the top of the list to the bottom. every i add a new bookmark. you can't use your scroll wheel, you can only drag a bookmark down to the bottom of the list and wait for it to scroll. slowly. if manual organization of your bookmarks isn't a huge deal for you (or you're fine with new bookmarks at the top), you'll probably like raindrop. otherwise, you may run into the same problems i did.

Milamber T

I mostly like how the app looks and works. The main concern I have is if the metadata of the bookmarks are captured, sorted, and reflected properly in the interface and search results. There are a couple of instances where I discovered metadata like description and tags are not reflected accurately when you use the different filters and search results. A bookmark with 'A' tag cannot be found when you go into 'A' tags. A bookmark with description does not show the description when you check the box for descriptions in list. Now imagine having 1000s of bookmarks after you use raindrop for a while. You want to and need to be able to trust the search and interface results because that's the whole point of the system and service the app provides. And also, you can't easily find bugs or missing results like these then. Hopefully such bugs can be quashed soon and not appear again.
